Shifts and Scheduling

Write the schedule once, assign it forever.

Working schedules are their own records with their own timings, break rules and working days. Assign one to an employee and attendance, overtime and payroll all read from it without further instruction.

What's inside

Shift patterns that survive contact with reality.

Named reusable schedules

A schedule is a record, not a setting buried in an employee profile. Build it once and assign it to as many people as you like.

Working days per schedule

Friday and Saturday, Saturday and Sunday, or a six day week. The calendar follows the schedule, not a global assumption.

Night and rotating patterns

Shifts that cross midnight are handled as shifts rather than as two broken days.

Different timings per location

A plant and a head office can run entirely different clocks under the same company.

Assignment per employee

People move between schedules without anybody rebuilding the schedule itself.

Changes are tracked

Every edit is written to a record history with old value, new value and author, so a payroll dispute can be traced.

How it connects

The clock that everything else reads.
